I've rated it very good mostly because I remember Mirissa as it used to be some 4 or 5 years before. Coming again was a mistake. It was quite painful to see what has my once favorite beach turn to: I better stick to nice memories I have about this beach and start searching somewhere on the East coast The beach is broad and sandy, lost of fish near the beach, good for snorkeling, surfing.

Very beautiful around Giragala small island. You can see sunset in Giragala Island you can walk through the beach to island. But the bad thing is fake whales watching groups in the beach there are some people trying you to sell whales watching tickets but I can recommend their boats and services if you are travel with you guide take a help from him and if you want book you selves visit Mirissa Harbor and do it.
