Jakob Melander was born in Copenhagen in He holds a degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Copenhagen. As well as a musician he's been writing plays and worked in theatre. His debut, The House that Jack Built, was sold to several countries even before Danish publication early , and quickly hit the Danish best seller's lists. The second volume in the series, Serafine, english title The Scream of the Butterfly, was published in Denmark in May Recently, the third novel in the series, From Her to Eternity, was published in Denmark, once again going straight to the best seller's list.
